KANE FAILS TO MAKE TOP THREE

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was not in the top three on the list of the highest goalscorers in the Premier League during the just concluded season after he managed just one goal in the final game at the home of Norwich City. The England international Skipper scored just once as Spurs thumped Norwich City 5-0 to finish the season on 17 goals.


Ahead of the final day of the season, Kane had the chance to draw level or surpass Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in third spot on the list of the leading goalscorers especially with the Portugal international out due to injury. CHELSEA EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN AGAINST NORWICH

Newly crowned FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea have extended their unbeaten Premier League run against Norwich City to 14 games after the West London giants emerged victorious at the end of their rescheduled game on Thursday. Trevor Chalobah, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz were all on the scoresheet as Chelsea beat Norwich City 3-1 at Carrie Road.


Hosts Norwich City came into the Chelsea game with the need to arrest their poor run of four straight league losses and five straight losses in all competitions. SPRINGETT SIGNS NEW NORWICH CITY DEAL

Norwich u23 star Tony Springett has signed a new contract at the club. The youngster had 18 months left on his existing Norwich City deal before he penned a new extension until 2025 at least.

Norwich City right-back Max Aarons has explained the Arsenal atmosphere when the two teams met at the Emirates Stadium last weekend. Aarons was in the Norwich City starting XI during the game against the Gunners on Saturday.


Aarons spoke about the Emirates Stadium atmosphere on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel ‘Vibe With Five’. According to him, he could feel the tense atmosphere at the match venue. The England junior international went on to say that Arsenal deserved the win in the end but he is still disappointed that his team didn’t manage to get a result from the game. FARKE SIGNS NEW NORWICH CITY DEAL

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has penned a new deal at the club. The news of his contract extension was announced officially on Thursday. He has signed a new four-year contract that will take him to 2025 at Carrow Road.

Farke was the main catalyst behind the return of Norwich City to the Premier League after just one season in the English Championship having suffered relegation from the top flight with the club last summer. NORWICH GIVEN BUENDIA REALITY CHECK

Newly promoted Premier League team Norwich City have been given a reality check on star midfielder Emiliano Buendia by one of their former players Robert Green in a chat with the Daily Mirror. According to the former Norwich City shot stopper, this summer might be the right time for Buendia to leave the Canaries amidst the transfer rumours linking him with a move to Premier League clubs Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Green made over 200 appearances for Norwich City during his playing career and he believes that his former club will find it difficult to keep hold of Buendia who has been the best player in the Championship this season. The Argentine player scored 15 goals and provided 16 assists in the league for the Canaries as they won the English Championship title to secure promotion to the Premier League after just one season in the second tier. Buendia was part of the Norwich City squad that suffered demotion to the Championship last season and he has helped the team back up to the Premier League.

Norwich City have taken their losing run to two games after they followed up the defeat to playoff spot chasers Bournemouth with another loss at the hands of Watford in second place. The Canaries have now lost the two matches played since their promotion to the Premier League was confirmed at the weekend.

NORWICH CITY HAVE SUBMITTED A TRANSFER OFFER FOR THIS EFL STAR

 Premier League outfit Norwich City have moved a step closer to secure the signing of Northampton Town striker Caleb Chukwuemeka after signalling their interest by handing in a transfer offer. They are looking to move as swift and fast as possible as they face stiff competition from some other Premier League clubs.


Chukwuemeka is a Cobblers academy graduate and was only handed his first-team debut this season. He scored his first goal in an away fixture against Wigan Athletic back in October and has continued to impress his club so far this campaign.
