Norwich City right-back Max Aarons has explained the Arsenal atmosphere when the two teams met at the Emirates Stadium last weekend. Aarons was in the Norwich City starting XI during the game against the Gunners on Saturday.

Aarons spoke about the Emirates Stadium atmosphere on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel ‘Vibe With Five’. According to him, he could feel the tense atmosphere at the match venue. The England junior international went on to say that Arsenal deserved the win in the end but he is still disappointed that his team didn’t manage to get a result from the game.

English defender Aarons was a target for Arsenal in previous transfer windows and he started the game at the weekend on the right side of the Norwich City defence. After a goalless affair at the end of the first half, Norwich City went behind to a Pierre-EmerickAubameyang strike from close range around the midway point of the second half. The goal from the Gabonese international was enough to win the game for his team. The goal from Aubameyang gave Arsenal a 1-0 win over the Canaries.

The goal released tension from the atmosphere amongst the Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium last weekend and the Gunners could have scored more goals in the final quarter of the game if the players were more clinical in front of goal. Until the Norwich City game, Arsenal didn’t scoreand also conceded nine goals in their first three games to stay at the bottom of the table. However, the slim win over Norwich City has moved the Gunners four places up the league table to 16th spot.

Norwich City are the new occupants of the last position on the Premier League standings after the defeat at Arsenal. Apart from the Gunners, Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City have also beaten last season’s Championship title winners in the Premier League this season.
